Promotional Materials
We have a few suggestions to help you best publicize your screening. We’re also happy to brainstorm with you as well for ideas about how to draw an audience! Just send us a note with your screening plans to info@FRESHthemovie.com (make sure you register your event first and send us the link in your email).
- Facebook - create an event page, send that event page to us, comment on our page about your event, become our fan! http://www.facebook.com/pages/FRESH/74025521375
- Local grocery stores – make up a little flyer, ask the local grocery stores if they can make them available to their customers as they check out. See if they have a newsletter or coupon booklet – ask them if they’ll help publicize.
- Local farmers & CSAs – CSAs have great email lists full of people who want to see this film. Contact them – see if they would like to have a table outside the theater selling CSA shares in exchange for letting their CSA members know about the screening!
- Local newspapers & radio stations – Ana, the Director of FRESH is available for interviews with local media – propose a segment on the future of sustainable food in your community!
- Bloggers – Blogs often have great readership and sense of community. Do a few google searches for local blogs that cover sustainable food and contact them about the screening.
- Tweet - We’re on Twitter @FRESHthemovie
- Slow Food – Is there a Slow Food Chapter in your area? Slow Food members love FRESH – ask the chapter if they’ll send an email out to their list about the event. Maybe even give them a few free tickets to give away and ask everyone who inquires about the free tickets to spread the word!
- Weston A. Price – How about a Weston A. Price Chapter in your area? Same thing here – contact them and see if they would like to help you publicize!
- Edible Publications – We’ve had great success with the Edible publications – see if there’s one near you and talk to them about how they can be involved in the event. They might want to write up an article about the sustainable movement in your community. Maybe even give them a few free tickets to give away and ask everyone who inquires about the free tickets to spread the word!
- Colleges & Universities – More likely than not, there’s a college group focused on local food and agriculture near you. Are you offering student discounts? Even better!
We’ve made our promotional materials available to you so you can spread the word about your event far and wide!
